Wouter Koelewijn loves to explore the musical treasures from all eras. He is always on the look out for lesser known or forgotten repertoire. The centre of gravity of his musical activities is on renaissance and baroque music, but he likes to regularly venture outside this centre. Audiences appreciate his well-thought-out programs and his lively way of making music.
To keep up with the times and to reach out to new audiences, he makes efforts to extend the organ repertoire by interacting with composers and creating his own arrangements for the organ. Wouter Koelewijn has a duo with saxophonist Filip Davidse, for which he creates his own arrangements. He has performed in major concert series and festivals in Europe and Japan.
